Review: Ormond Provedore

Looking for a new place to go for fun and delicious breakfast and amazing coffee? Look no further than the Ormond Provedore. Located a ten minute walk from the Ormond train station, the cafe is the place to be for all things brekky.

Some standout breakfast options are the Shak Shuka (a Middle Eastern poached egg dish), Noisette Belgium waffle, and smashed avocado. The Provedore team are always coming up with interesting sides to their dishes and experimenting with different sauces, curds and salads. The specials board is changed every week to accommodate seasonal fruit and vegetables, and recently customers have had their tastebuds wowed with blueberry pancakes served with grapefruit curd. Their meals don’t break the bank and always arrive to the table quickly, and still hot.

When I attended recently for breakfast, a person I was with commented that the coffee was “The best I’ve had in a very long time,” and they went back for a takeaway cup as we were leaving. The Provedore’s coffees and teas are well-priced, as are their freshly squeezed juices, shakes, and iced drinks.

With family-friendly indoor, outdoor and courtyard seating, the Ormond Provedore is definitely worth the bus struggle while the Ormond train station is under renovation.
